April 24, 2005:

Ole' man winter seems to be making one final appearance this year with temps in the low 60's and wind cutting across the lake anywhere from 15 - 20 mph today.  The funny thing about ole' Seminole is that she will still produce bass even in some tough conditions.  Went out with my friend Jerry today and he landed a nice 4 pounder within 15 minutes of leaving Jack's.  It was tough out there but we still had some fun tearin' em up!  Give me a holler to book your next trip, the topwater action is just around the corner...

April 23, 2005:

Well, it's been a really busy spring this year and I think I've been out on the water almost every day for the past three months so I'm a little behind on my updates.  We've caught alot of bass out on Lake Seminole with some being found on the beds and some that are staging just off the weed lines.  Here are some pics of my recent trips and a few I've added for those of you who wanted a couple of images for your PC desktop of Lake Seminole.  I've had some dates open up here at the end of April, so give me a holler if you want to get out there as the bass are startin' to jump on the buzzbait!

January 23, 2005:

A good day out on Seminole even though the weather got a little cold this weekend.  Went out with Russ and Donna who found some nice rattle-trap bass.  Give me a call if you would like to get out on Seminole as the weather starts to warm back up.  There were even a couple of bass spotted moving onto beds so the spawnin' season is right around the corner.  Give me a call soon, as dates are fillin' up fast!

Ole' man winter is finally startin' to let up some so me and my good buddy Chris Taylor decided to dust off our rods and reels to see if we could find some good ole' catfish out on Seminole.  As you can see, Chris found this 27 lb flat-head catfish that he caught on a 6 lb line with a No. 4 Mustad Hook. Took him one hour and 5 minutes to land it!

Lots of fishin' going on here at Lake Seminole with tournaments every weekend it seems like.  With the recent draw down on the lake, the fish are really starting to jump on these lures.  I took 16 bass one day this week with 2 nice bass in the mornin and then 14 in the evenin!  The Tri-States Classic Tournament was won this weekend with 31 pounds which was a real nice catch of bass.  With all this fishin' going on, me and my good buddy Chris Taylor decided to get out and grab-up some of these fish ourselves.  Give me a holler if you want to join in on all this excitement before ole' man winter moves in.

September 1, 2004:

Well, the summer heat is starting to let up and we are trying to make our way through all the rain from the hurricanes coming through.  Regardless, there are still fish out there to catch and they seem to be biting like crazy now.  Me and Chris went out for some good summer fishing and caught ourselves three good hawgs!

Another good day of catching hawgs out on Lake Seminole.  Here you can see Ryan with his 6 pounder and his buddy Andrew with a 7 pounder!  It's always a good day when you can find the big fish and I know a couple of young men that had alot of fun out there!

I was delighted to guide one of the best fishing students since I began guiding. He is only 15 years old and very talented at this sport we call bass fishing. I am sure many people in the fishing world will know this young man very soon. We call him Packey Gillman, the bass buster!

Good day of fishing with Richard out on Seminole, caught him a big 'un too!  The weather has been just beautiful and we sure could use a little rain to freshen things up a bit...

March 27, 2004:

The big 'uns sure are biting out there!  I took my cousin Jason and his Dad (Uncle Johnny) out for a GREAT day of fishing on Lake Seminole.  The water was clear and the lake was still as we jumped on some really good Largemouth Bass just outside of the shallow weed beds.  As you can see from the pictures below, Jason had a really good day when he was almost jerked outta' the boat bringing in a 10 pound Largemouth Bass.  I think Jason had to take a 30 minute break after that fish... something about catchin' them BIG bass that will make a young feller get to shakin' and he just can't re-tie his line too soon.

As for Uncle Johnny, well... you can see he did provide the bait! haha

It was a really good day of fishing this past weekend, so give me a holler if you want to try and land you a BIG 'un just like Jason did.  The fish are biting and the days are just beautiful out here with the temperature in the mid to upper 70's.

Fish are really biting out there on Lake Seminole. I took my good friend Collin (on the right) and he always brings a new fishing partner with him.  Then he goes and shows 'um how to smack them perch, way to go Collin!

It's Spring again and the fish are already biting as the weather begins to warm up.  A recent trip at the end of January brought some very nice Largemouth Bass.  Trips are booking up quick, so give me a holler if you would like to join us out on Lake Seminole.
